International Conference on Iran and Its Neighbouring Regions
The International Conference on "Iran and Its Neighbouring Regions" is planned to be co-organised by Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) from 23 to 25 October 2017 in the IPIS, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this three-day international conference, aiming at analysing the location of Iran and its neighbouring states, scholars, professors and experts in political science will participate. During this event, the following three separate, though highly related, conferences will be organised: the "22nd International Conference on the Persian Gulf"; the "18th International Conference on Central Asia and Caucasus"; and the "3rd International Conference on Afghanistan". In the opening ceremony of this conference, in addition to Iranian high-level political officials, renowned diplomats from Turkey, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Sudan, Russia, Syria, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, India, Belarus, Lebanon, Austria and Germany will participate. Hamid Karzai, the ex-president of Afghanistran; and Turkey's Former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs are going to address the audience in the opening ceremony, as two of the distinguished speakers.
