Dean's Message

I am immensely delighted to welcome you to ATU faculty of Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer (SMC). Ever Since 1980s, when ATU was officially founded, it has been educating students in Statistics. However, since the establishment of the SMC Faculty in 2013, our departments have sincerely tried to keep the educational and research activities in the faculty to a standard, acceptable level, thereby helping members to gain access to a comfortable environment.
Though relatively young, the faculty is providing educational and research services to students at all three levels of study in eight different degree programmes. Our faculty are seriously trying to be responsive to the needs of the students, researchers and devote so much time as possible to students outside classrooms.
Despite ATU’s specific focus on the humanities and social sciences, the areas of mathematics, computer, and Statistics have been established in the SMC as three interdisciplinary areas of knowledge trying to apply these important sciences to the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences. I hope all our members enjoy a nice, unforgettable experience in the SMC Faculty. We boast your valuable presence on campus and hope the ties between the faculty and its members endure forever.

Reza Pourtaheri,
