If you are going to continue your studies in humanities and social sciences in Iran and want to enjoy high-quality academic excellence, Allameh Tabataba'i University is a perfect choice. ATU Admissions Office has tried to make the admission process as simple as possible. Please read the following instructions and follow the steps to apply for education in ATU. How to ApplyAllameh Tabataba'i University's application process is online; there is an online application form you need to submit. You can also contact the Admissions Office through any of the following email addresses: admissions@atu.ac.ir admissions.atu.ac.ir@gmail.com Once you contact the above email addresses, you will receive the application form. Please fill in the form carefully and make sure you have attached all necessary documents. In case any part of your application is incomplete, your admission process will be suspended until the Admissions Office receives your complete documents. Please keep in mind that before filling out the application form, you have to clearly decide on your level of study (e.g. BA, MA, PhD) and your major, programme or course (e.g. Law, Political Sciences, Economics, Persian Language and Literature, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, etc.). After completing the application form, ATU's Admissions Office will review it and will evaluate each applicant. Early decision will be made by at least 2 months after receiving the application. Each application then goes through the following stages:
When to ApplyEvery year, application process starts on 1 April and continues to 10 March. Each academic year in ATU, as in most Iranian universities, is composed of two terms: the first term starts in mid-September (1st of Iranian Mehr month) and the other in late January (1st of Iranian Bahman month) . Important NotePlease bear in mind that in the colleges where instruction is given in any language other than Persian, students have to provide a document showing their proficiency in that language. At the same time, all applicants, as stated above, need to sit and pass Persian Language courses. Students who have not been successful in getting a scholarship and can afford their educational charges themselves will be evaluated regarding the validity of their educational degrees. In case of any sort of inconsistency, the student's admission process will be stopped. Important Note: Our first and foremost priority is those jobs which have relevance to your academic background or your intended academic programmes in the future. Motivation LetterThis letter is an important document in your application. Motivation letter helps the Admissions Committee members to become acquainted with you, your abilities, your present and future goals, and your experiences. In this letter, you have the opportunity to explain the reason(s) you chose ATU as your future academic destination and convince the authorities that you are one of the most qualified among many other applicants. Although your own unique style of writing is of utmost importance, certain points are prepared by ATU Admissions Office, so that you can write a more accurate and efficient letter. Content:Motivation letters' content is vital to the admission procedure; therefore, try to invest a good deal of time on it. Please make sure to include enough information about the following points. Below there are a number of points to observe in your letter.
Organization and Format of the Letter:It is highly recommended to carefully observe the organization of the content of your letter because a great content written in a disorganized manner cannot carry much of an impact.
Neatness and Order:Not only does a motivation letter reflect your future aims, it also represents your personality as a student or scholar.
Recommendation LettersA letter of recommendation highlights your academic and/or professional achievements. A well-written letter gives ATU Admissions Committee detailed information about who you are and how professional you are will be in the future. Letters of recommendation are significant parts of your application process. Please bear in mind that if you are an MA or PhD candidate, letters of recommendation must be written by two of your references/professors. Bachelor's candidates need to provide only one recommendation letter. Please provide complete personal and contact information of the person or persons you have introduced as your references.
